Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress that works in both film, television as well as theatre. Contractor began her acting career at 16 and was a part of the theater for a decade after spending ten years in dance. When she graduated from high-school and was awarded a full tuition scholarship to University of Toronto where she studied theatre with a double degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Contractor got her first part after a year of university. In 2002, Canadian theater critics were awed by her performance in 92 performances of the play. She was given the chance to join Stratford Conservatory. It accepts only eight men and four women to study classical theatre. Contractor eagerly accepted. Contractor was guaranteed a spot in the following season of productions and was offered the part of Hermia In A Midsummer Night's Dream.
